01 · What it buys

The labour, and nothing else.

Checking, the convention, the roll call, sealing and vendor packs are free, permanently, with no account. You do not need a licence to see exactly what Pro would do; the app shows every rename first.

Every run is journalled. One press takes a whole run back, on the same drive.

One licence file, one machine; a facility with five workstations needs five. Fourteen days of grace after expiry, so a renewal that is late does not stop a shoot. 02 · Once it arrives

Installing a licence.

It arrives as a file attached to an email. Nothing to sign in to, and nothing that needs a connection once it is installed.

  1. Open ShuttleCheck and go to Settings.
  2. Under Licence, paste the whole block from the file, from -----BEGIN to END-----, and press Install it.
  3. Or save the file as .shuttlecheck/shuttlecheck.licence in your home folder. A facility can point every workstation at one copy on a share with SHUTTLECHECK_LICENCE.
  4. Copy it from the attachment, not from a reply or a forwarded body. Mail clients rewrap text, and a licence with altered characters stops verifying; ask us and we will send it again.
